A whopping Rs14.930 billion was collected by the Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) in March 2023, exceeding all expectations and representing a 15.3% rise over the same month last year when revenues were Rs12.95 billion.
The Punjab Workers Welfare Fund (PWWF) collection for the same period totaled Rs555 million, a startling 207% increase over the previous year’s collection of Rs181 million.
PRA was able to collect Rs140.79 billion, or 74%, of its allotted target of Rs190 billion over the first three quarters of the current fiscal year, resulting in a revenue growth of 26.1%. For the past three years, PRA has surpassed expectations and continued to surpass the designated income collection targets despite a moratorium on the flow of funding for any development projects in Punjab.
